VeriShow 4.1 Release Notes
We are happy to announce a new VeriShow release 4.1, which includes exciting improvements and features. This release introduces an important compatibility with HTML5, which means that visitors who do not have the required Flash version installed on their browser will still be able to chat and see shared content. The following describes this release in further details.
Main improvements and features
HTML5 Compatibility
Up until now, VeriShow required Flash 10.3+ to be installed. As some users do not have the required Flash version in their browser, HTML5 support has now been added to the platform. This means that VeriShow covers a wider range of site visitors. This new compatibility feature allows the agent and visitor to chat via text and lets the visitor see content shared by the agent. At present, this feature is added to accounts upon request. If you’d like to see a demo, please contact us.
Visitor Desktop Sharing
We developed a new application that builds on our existing technology. The new application allows the agent to view the visitor’s screen (Java-based) and control it, providing the user has given permission. In case that the visitor does not have Java installed, the agent is provided with options – to ask the visitor to install Java on the fly or use an alternative version that does not require Java (requires a one-time driver install). The new application provides an improved visitor and agent user experience. At present, this application is made available to accounts upon request.
Video Preview
A video preview feature was now added to the video conferencing feature. It is possible to preview the video input and change the audio/video settings by clicking the settings icon of the video interface (top left) and clicking on Audio/Video Settings.
Further Look and Feel improvements
In our effort to continuously improve the look and feel, we addressed some issues that haven’t been addressed in the main session area, to complement the changes made in release 4.0.
Default Applications
We rearranged the default applications in new VeriShow accounts for improved user experience and removal of less relevant applications.
Bug fixing
We addressed various issues discovered by our QA, which contributes to a more stable usage. For example, we addressed an alignment issue of text in the Form Completion application and made the time allowed to choose a file in the Visitor’s Doc app unlimited (LivePerson version).
Updated User Guide
This is the place to mention that we recently improved the VeriShow User Guide, which also reflects the improvements and changes made in VeriShow release 4.0
* In this version, the HTML compatibility only supports chat and content sharing. Additional features will be added in future releases, stay tuned!
